Evaluation of the Performance Information System in the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport

The Report on the Accounts of the Public Service 2023 by the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) included a chapter on measuring the performance of arts and sport spending. The chapter concluded with a recommendation that the Department should complete an evaluation of its performance information system.

To address the C&AG recommendation, the Department conducted an assessment of the appropriateness of the Department’s performance measures in the Revised Estimates Process and the Annual Report for monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of its collective programmes.
