EU e-Evidence Package
The EU e-Evidence package consists of two pieces of EU law: Regulation (EU) 2023/1543 and Directive (EU) 2023/1544. The aim of the EU e-Evidence package is to make it faster and easier for law enforcement authorities to obtain electronic evidence that is relevant to criminal investigations from service providers in another EU country. The Package allows authorities in one EU Member State to issue an order to produce electronic evidence directly to a service provider based in another EU Member State.
