National Strategy for Improving Community Safety

News Item

The National Office for Community Safety held the first in person engagements in relation to developing a new National Strategy for Improving Community Safety this week in Athlone and Galway. These sessions were co-hosted by Westmeath and Galway County/Galway City Local Community Safety Partnerships. Attendees travelled from as far afield as Donegal, Clare, Longford, and Offaly, in addition to many local attendees to participate in very lively and interactive discussions.

There are many other ways to have your voice heard in relation to the development of this strategy, including attending further in person consultation events over the next two weeks and making a written submission by close of business Friday 28 November. Click here for further information.
