Representative Actions for the Protection of the Collective Interests of Consumers Act 2023

Act to give effect to Directive (EU) 2020/1828 on representative actions for the protection of the collective interests of consumers and its related Regulatory Impact Assessment.

Prior to the preparation of Directive (EU) 2020/1828, the European Commission undertook a series of regulatory impact assessment exercises. The Regulatory Impact Assessment document focuses on the impact of the Representative Actions for the Protection of the Collective Interests of Consumers Bill and complements the earlier European Commission assessments.
