LCDC Annual Networking Event

The department hosted the fourth annual LCDC Networking conference on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim.

The event was very successful and informative with high level business updates from;

• The Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht
• The Department of Children, Disability and Equality, and
• The Director of the National Office for Community Safety
• Consultant Match Marketing on the Local and National Communications Campaign of Awareness on the role and function of LCDCs

There was also a presentation on one of the Local Area Child Poverty Action Plan Pilots, as well a segment on the review of the LECP 2-year Implementation Plans which included a speaker from the All-Island Research Observatory (AIRO), NUI, Maynooth.
