LEADER Local Action Groups - Contact Details

Local Action Groups (LAGs) are the key body in the 'bottom-up' LEADER delivery model, with the Implementing Partner (IP) or Animating Partner (AP) engaging with potential project promoters on the LAGs behalf. Each LAG is responsible for selecting and awarding LEADER funding to projects within their geographical area. Please note the IP/AP is the point of contact for the LAG in the areas where the LAG is the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC).

Typically, a LAG is made up of public and private partners, including: local authority elected members and officials, business representatives, representatives from the community and voluntary sector, local development representatives, farming interests, local state agencies and others.

Prospective applicants should contact their nearest LAG through its Implementing/Animating Partner (where applicable) to register an expression of interest and discuss the eligibility of a project proposal and the funding that may be available.
