Minister Byrne in London to meet UK Government counterparts

The Minister of State for European Affairs and Defence, Thomas Byrne TD, is meeting today (28 April) in London with his UK government counterparts.

Minister Byrne will meet with Minister for the Cabinet Office, Nick Thomas-Symonds MP, and Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Stephen Doughty MP.

Speaking ahead of the meetings, Minister Byrne said “I consider the UK to be a vital partner for Ireland in addressing many of our key priorities. My meetings with Minister Thomas-Symonds and Minister Doughty provide a welcome opportunity to address our shared priorities and discuss ways in which we can deepen our cooperation.”
