NSMC Institutional Joint Communique, 11 March 2020

1. The eleventh North South Ministerial Council Institutional meeting was held at the NSMC Joint Secretariat Offices, Armagh, on 11 March 2020. The Irish Government was represented by Helen McEntee TD, Minister of State for European Affairs. The Northern Ireland Executive was represented by Gordon Lyons MLA, Junior Minister, and Declan Kearney MLA, Junior Minister. Minister McEntee chaired the meeting.

2. The Council approved the appointment of Board Members to the Trade and Business Development Body (InterTradeIreland) and Directors to Tourism Ireland CLG to fill a limited number of urgent and critical vacancies affecting the governance of these Bodies; and agreed that appointments will be made to fill the remaining vacancies on these Boards, and on the Boards of other North South Implementation Bodies, at future meetings of the Council.
