Human Resources Division

The organisation and management of human resources and effective training and development of staff is fundamental to enabling the department address the demands it faces in fulfilling its strategic policy objectives in relation to transport in Ireland.

The role of the HR Division is to ensure that the department’s human resources capability (in terms of both staff numbers and skills) meet the department’s needs and to ensure that those resources are deployed to best effect taking account of business priorities.

A Workforce Framework Plan is developed every year as the basis for the development and allocation of human resources within the department. The department’s recruitment, assessment and selection services are carried out centrally by the Public Appointments Service (www.publicjobs.ie).
