The Corporate Affairs function provides leadership on strategic planning and good governance and is a key enabler in the successful delivery of the Department’s overall strategic goals, ensuring that the Department has sufficient capacity to deliver on business objectives, and that our people are supported to deliver their best in the public interest. It encompasses a range of functions including Finance , Facilities, Human Resources, Corporate Services, Agency Governance, Communications, Legal Services, Risk and Reform and Central Policy.
A key aspect of this work is the delivery of organisational and cultural change in line with Civil Service and Public Service reform agendas.
Corporate Affairs is also responsible for strategic planning for the Department, including preparing the Statement of Strategy and Annual Strategic Plan, providing the Secretariat to the Management Board and Ministerial Management Board. The function delivers whole of Department positions on cross-cutting policy issues, leading internal service provision and compliance oversight, and overseeing customer service standards.
