Roads Transport Service and Digital Hub

This pillar is responsible for developing and implementing road policies; road transport operator licencing and haulage strategy; promoting and advancing safety on the roads; corporate governance of the Road Safety Authority and the Medical Bureau of Road Safety.

The pillar also includes the Digital Hub, a new centralised structure which brings together all the core ICT and digital functions in the Department. It is responsible for overseeing technology strategy, technology and business operations, data management, data analytics and ICT project 83 management. It comprises of 4 Divisions that have responsibility for the support of all IT services for the Department and the National Vehicle and Driver File (NVDF) database.
