Minister McEntee performs the official opening of the newly renovated outdoor space at Scoil Naomh Cianain, Cushinstown in Co Meath

Minister for Education and Youth Helen McEntee has today (MON) performed the official opening of this newly renovated outdoor space at Scoil Naomh Cianain in Co Meath.
The Minister visited two schools in Co Meath today, where she commended the great work being done on behalf of students.
Speaking today Minister McEntee said:
“This is a great day for Scoil Naomh Cianain, also known as Cushinstown National School, especially at the beginning of a new school year when we can celebrate the opening of this newly renovated outdoor space. No doubt you will make very good use of this fantastic space as the year progresses.
“I would like to acknowledge the Board of Management under the guidance of their trustees for their commitment to supporting this project to fruition. This project would not have been achieved without the invaluable work carried out by the volunteers who worked so hard to create this welcoming space.
“It is evident that there was great collegiality at play in the management of this project. Great credit is due to the Board and especially the volunteers who have worked tirelessly for the benefit of the school.”
The Minister extended her thanks to School Principal Caitríona Traynor, Deputy Principal Michael Molloy and to Chairperson of the Board of Management, Jim Brady for the invitation to the school.
She also paid tribute to the tireless work of parents for the good of the school.
The Minister said:
“The support of parents in so many aspects of school life add significantly to the quality of the experiences provided for the pupils of this school.”
Earlier today, Minister McEntee also visited St Patrick’s National School, in Ardcath, Co Meath where she met staff, including Principal Fiona Daly, and students. The Minister heard first-hand from the students about the activities and initiatives which are underway at the school, and she commended them on their work.
