Minister for Health announces updates to list of designated States - 25 June 2021

The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly TD, has announced his intention to add additional States to the list of designated States.
People arriving into Ireland having been in or transited through these States in the previous 14 days must enter Mandatory Hotel Quarantine.
The decision to add to the list of designated States was taken following advice received by the Chief Medical Officer.
Passengers from these States that arrive in Ireland after 04.00am on Tuesday 29 June are required to enter quarantine in a designated hotel.
The additional States to be added to the list are:
- Dominican Republic
- Eritrea
- Haiti
- Indonesia
- Kuwait
- Kyrgyzstan
- Myanmar
- Russia
- Tunisia
All those travelling into Ireland must have a negative pre-departure test and those from non-designated countries must observe ‘Home Quarantine’. Details for which can be found here.
