What is the Tillage Sustainability Support Payment
The 2026 Tillage Sustainability Support payment is in recognition of the significant additional pressures encountered in the sector in recent years, such as a challenging market situation and downward price pressure internationally, in addition to the high costs of production, all of which has significantly impacted on the margin for growers.
Sustainability of the sector is of utmost importance and will be achieved through a financial contribution of €30 million to the tillage sector for the continued growth of cereal and oilseed rape crops.
How to qualify?
To be eligible for consideration under the Tillage Sustainability Support Payment 2026, an applicant must have submitted a valid 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) application declaring a minimum of one hectare of an eligible crop as listed in the Terms and Conditions of the 2026 Tillage Sustainability Support Payment.
What are the eligible crops?
Eligible crops are Barley, Oats, Wheat, Rye, Triticale and Oilseed Rape
Do I need to complete and submit an application?
Yes, applications for support can be made online via “MyAgfood – Tillage Sustainability Support Payment”
What is the Rate of Payment
The support payment will be a digressive payment. The maximum rate of payment will be €110 down to €50.
