APPENDIX 1 - Statement of Strategy - Structure of the Department

The department’s Management Board comprises the Secretary General and the Assistant Secretaries and equivalents. It operates in support of the Minister, Ministers of State, and the Secretary General in their statutorily prescribed roles by:

Assisting and advising (together with other arrangements for this purpose) in policy development and coordination

Monitoring the implementation of policies and programmes by the department and our delivery partners, particularly in relation to issues requiring cross-divisional, interdepartmental and multi-stakeholder co-operation

Overseeing the adherence to corporate governance requirements and promoting the development and improved performance of the department’s organisation through a range of functions
