Many smaller homebuilders struggle to access equity (investment money) to fund projects.
- TheIreland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF)provides equity and debt to support housing projects, including SME builders.
- ISIF launched a €400 million equity programme in 2023 and will commit another €400 million over the next three years to help scale housing delivery.
- ISIF works with banks to unlock more funding for sites with planning permission.
- Banks and Enterprise Ireland will also create a mentoring programme to help small developers grow and professionalise.
