The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O’Brien, T.D., has today appointed Mr. Colm Lavery to be the next Commissioner of Valuation and Chief Boundary Surveyor. The appointment takes effect from 4 January 2022.

Mr. Lavery will succeed the previous Commissioner of Valuation, Mr John O’Sullivan, who retired earlier this year.

Minister O'Brien said:

“Mr Lavery brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from his career to the post of Commissioner of Valuation and I look forward to working with him from January.

“I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute and to thank Mr John O’Sullivan former Commissioner of Valuation who presided as Commissioner of Valuation from 2012 to 2021 and to the current acting Commissioner Mr Declan Lavelle.”
