Senior Advisor, Housing Advisory Unit

Responsibility at Senior Advisor level in the Housing Advisory Unit to provide Professional & Technical advice on construction cost related matters, within the Social Housing Division and across the wider Department.

This includes:

• Technical evaluation of capital works projects, with regard to value for money, alignment with wider Department policy and compliance with CWMF / public procurement requirements, across the major social housing capital delivery programmes.
• Provision of professional / technical advice on the formulation of housing related policy, legislation, standards and guidance.
• Collaboration at technical/professional level to promote Department policy through engagement with local authorities, Approved Housing Bodies and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. Government Departments, Agencies, professional bodies and industry).
• Promoting more efficient construction processes across social housing delivery programmes through the adoption of MMC, Design & Build and standardised design by local authorities.
