Civil society
The National Women’s Council of Ireland (NWCI) is the leading national representative organisation for women and women’s groups in Ireland. Founded in 1973, it represents a membership which includes member groups as well as a wide range of individual members from a diversity of backgrounds, sectors and locations.
Women's Collective Ireland (WCI) is a community development organisation which supports grassroots projects both locally and nationally. Through its 17 local projects, WCI identifies and responds to the specific needs of women in their communities.
