The public consultation of the Draft Statement of Strategy has now ended.

The First Report of the EOBDF as a Statutory Body to the Tánaiste and Minister for Defence is now available to view here

Under Section 21 of the Defence (Amendment) Act 2024, the Body is required to prepare a Strategy Statement every three years. The Body is now developing its Strategy Statement for the period 2025 to 2028. On the 01 September 2025, the Body will publish to this website, its Draft Strategy Statement for public consultation.

Effective corporate governance is central to the EOBDF's successfully delivering its statutory obligations with integrity. This Corporate Governance framework describes the structures, policies and processes that are in place in the Body to deliver on these obligations and it provides for an objective assessment of management and corporate performance.

The Third Report of the EOBDF on a Non-Statutory basis has been published under the ‘Publications’ section of this website and can also be found under ‘Archived: Publications’.

This Report covers the period from 01 April 2024 to 30 November 2024. The period covered by this Report was extended by 2 months in order to bring it up to the establishment date (01 December 2024) of the new Statutory Body, established on foot of the Defence (Amendment) Act 2024.
