Government Digital Wallet

The Government Digital Wallet app will be a place to securely keep digital versions of important documents on a mobile phone or digital device.

A driving licence, birth certificate or death certificate or a European Health Insurance card for example - records like these can be safely stored, conveniently available when you need them. When shared with a relying party, their authenticity is verified.

It will be a way to quickly and easily access public services and securely verify identity details, all while reducing reliance on paper documents and creating a foundation for future EU wide interoperability.
