Discover the Beauty of Ceramic Art at the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin

The Office of Public Works is delighted to announce the launch of ‘The Clay/ Works Exhibition 2025’ at the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin from 6 July 2025. This exhibition features the work of over 80 makers from the four corners of the country.

A diverse range of ceramic pieces will be on show including functional, decorative, wall panels and sculptural forms.

Chairman of the Office of Public Works, John Conlon stated:

“We are delighted to host ‘Clay/Works’ exhibition at the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, showcasing the diverse and innovative approaches to ceramic art from Irish artists across the country. This exhibition celebrates the rich history and contemporary relevance of ceramic art in the art world.”

The exhibition enables us to develop an awareness of the quality and breath of ceramics as a highly regarded craft / art form in Ireland with a growing national and international audience. Each year we see ceramic ambassadors /works travelling to new far-flung homes in Australia, Europe, USA …… this represents a significant increase in our international audience and has enhanced Ireland’s reputation as a country of quality craftsmanship. Clay/Works will feature emerging and established makers and there will be something to interest everyone in this exhibition of over 250 pieces.

Ceramics Ireland have grown this exhibition over the years truly celebrating ceramic practice in Ireland.
