Taoiseach Micheál Martin to visit County Louth and attend the British-Irish Council in Northern Ireland 12-13 June 2025

Taoiseach Micheál Martin will take part in a series of engagements in County Louth and Northern Ireland on Thursday and Friday, culminating in the 43rd Summit of the British-Irish Council

On Thursday, he will address the Ibec-CBI Joint Business Council (JBC) All-island Business Conference: Protecting all-island business in a new global environment. The event will bring together over 150 business leaders, stakeholders, and public policymakers to focus on the interconnected and cost-effective ways that businesses operate on an all-island basis.

Later, he will visit the site of the Narrow Water Bridge, where he will be given an update on its construction, followed by a visit to Kilbroney Park in Rostrevor, Co Down, for a briefing on plans for cross-border Shared Destinations tourism projects, from the CEOs of Tourism Northern Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, and Tourism Ireland.

On Thursday evening and Friday, he will attend the 43rd Summit meeting of the British-Irish Council (BIC), which is being hosted by the Northern Ireland Executive. The summit will be attended by political leaders from the BICs eight Member Administrations and will focus on the theme of ‘ The role of AI in Reform and Transformation’.
