The Consultative Forum was established following a Government announcement in May 2015 on a number of new measures to support mortgage holders in arrears. The role of the Forum is to keep the operational effectiveness of the ISI under review and make recommendations to the Minister as appropriate. It is representative of creditors, debtor representative groups, Personal Insolvency Practitioners and other key stakeholders. Members as at 21st June 2017 are listed below.
Terms of Reference
The Consultative Forum is asked to:
- Keep the operational effectiveness of the ISI and the solutions provided by the ISI under review and provide a periodic report to the Minister for Justice as required.
- Present relevant anonymised data, as required for the sole purpose of monitoring the operational effectiveness of the solutions provided by the ISI;
- Give consideration to legislation that may impact on the operation of the solutions provided by the ISI;
- Establish working groups, where these are necessary to progress discrete work streams;
- Agree how any working groups established will report to the Consultative Forum;
- Consider stakeholder comments with regard the operation of the solutions provided by the ISI;
- Circulate minutes of Consultative Forum to Department of Justice.
