Dr. Aodhán Mac Cormaic has responsibility at Director level for the delivery of the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030, for Gaeltacht programmes and Irish language policy, for monitoring governance in Údarás na Gaeltachta, for official languages legislation and for programmes both inside and outside of designated Gaeltacht areas. He is also responsible for the Irish language at EU-level and internationally, for Placenames and for North-South Co-operation through the work of An Foras Teanga, incorporating Foras na Gaeilge and the Ulster Scots Agency.
