Francesca (Frankie) Kay joined the Central Statistics Office in December 2020 and is the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Frankie has responsibility for driving progress of the CSO’s Data Strategy to ensure that Civil and Public Service data are of a standard that enables their integration and use across all stages of decision making and policy development. This will be achieved through the development of standards, skills and services, including the programme of seconded statisticians, the virtual data rooms service, rollout of data standards, multidimensional publications and researcher access to microdata.
Frankie moved to Ireland after an extensive career leading technology and transformation in the private sector and most recently in a number of senior leadership roles at the UK's Office for National Statistics.
