The Protected Disclosures Act 2014 provides a statutory framework within which Office of the Attorney General current or former staff members can raise concerns regarding potential wrongdoing within the workplace that has come to their attention, in the knowledge that they can avail of significant employment and other protections if they are penalised or suffer any detriment for doing so.
The Act specifies that the Office must publish, no later than 30 June each year, details relating to protected disclosures made within the Office in the immediately preceding year.
