Civil Service Employee Assistance Service (CSEAS)

CSEAS Mission Statement:

“To deliver a trusted, confidential support and resource service that empowers and nurtures staff wellbeing and enables organisations to thrive.”

The Civil Service Employee Assistance Service (CSEAS) provides a confidential internal Employee Assistance Programme to Civil Service staff. Delivered as an interdepartmental shared service through central and regional hubs, it offers consistent accessible support across the Civil Service.

Grounded in trust, care and support the service provides a safe work-based space where employees are supported to manage or resolve both work and personal related issues, which when addressed early, protects wellbeing and sustains performance at work.

The service is part of a suit of supports committed to fostering a resilient and inclusive workforce by promoting positive mental health and encouraging supportive workplace cultures that enable everyone to thrive.

Health and Wellbeing strategy/framework

The Civil Service is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all civil servants.

This is in line with our obligations as an employer under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. This duty of care applies to both mental and physical wellbeing.
