This Report is compiled under Section 77 of the Minerals Development Act, 1940 and Section 8 of the Minerals Development Act, 1979.
The Report sets out details of the State Mining Leases, State Mining Licences and Prospecting Licences current as of 30 June 2024 and the total amount of all moneys collected by the Minister under or by virtue of any such Lease or Licence or otherwise in connection with the Minerals Development Acts for the 6 months ended 30 June 2024.
As of 30 June 2024, there were:
- 9 extant State Mining Leases
- 5 extant State Mining Licences
- 359 extant Prospecting Licences
