Fingerpost Licences

The erection of fingerpost signs will require a licence from the planning authority. Applications must be submitted in writing on the fingerpost application form to the Planning Section of Cork City Council. The request should include a location map and road/junction name of preferred sighting of fingerpost sign.

The application is considered in the context of Section 254 of the Planning & Development Act 2000 and section 16.124 of the Cork City Council, City Development Plan 2015-2021 .

Please note, commercial and product advertising fingerpost signs are not permitted.
