Department announces details of in-person public meetings and farmer clinics for new CAP schemes

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine today announced a series of in-person Public Meetings and Farmer Clinics to assist farmers in making their applications online for the Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and other area-based schemes and the Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme (SCEP).
Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and other area-based schemes
The BISS Public Meetings will take place from 8-10pm and involve presentations from department officials followed by an opportunity for questions from the audience. 10 Public Meetings are scheduled (see full list below).
The BISS Farmer Clinics will take place from 10am-4pm (Farmer Clinic only) or 12 noon - 7pm (with Public Meeting to start at 8pm). The Farmer Clinics will involve one-to-one support to assist farmers to submit their BISS application. 19 Farmer Clinics are scheduled (see full list below).

Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme
In addition to the above BISS Public Meetings and Farmer Clinics, the department in conjunction with ICBF and Bord Bia has organised 9 public information meetings on the new Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme (SCEP) over the coming months. The full list of the locations and dates is set out below. In addition, a webinar on SCEP will be held on 4 April from 7-8.30pm.
While the public information meetings commence at 8pm, department officials will be available from 6pm at the venues and dates below to assist farmers with their SCEP application if they so wish.
