Extension to the deadline for farmers to apply to participate in the On-Farm Badger Biosecurity Scheme

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine would like to advise eligible farmers who wish to participate in the On-Farm Badger Biosecurity Scheme that the closing date for farmer applications has been extended to midnight on Sunday, 7 June 2026.

The terms and conditions and farmer application form for the Scheme can be found at www.bovinetb.ie. Applications will only be accepted by email to RAHBio@agriculture.gov.ie.

Grant aid shall be at a maximum rate of 40% of expenditure on eligible materials to a maximum of €2,000 excluding VAT i.e. maximum grant payable under this scheme is €800 excluding VAT.
