2025 Agroecology third co-funded call “Fostering plant and animal genetic diversity and empowering farmers to accelerate the agroecological transition"

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) invites eligible Irish Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) to submit joint research proposals under the 2025 Agroecology thi co-funded call “Fostering plant and animal genetic diversity and empowering farmers to accelerate the agroecological transition.”
The research topic supported by DAFM under the Agroecology third co-funded Call is:
- Topic 1: Enhancing the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition
The third co-funded Call follows a two-step procedure that includes a pre-proposal submission step followed by the full proposal submission.
The deadline for pre-proposal submission: 18 February 2026, 14:00 CET
The deadline for the submission of proposals: 08 July 2026, 14:00 CET

Proposals must be submitted via the electronic submission system.
Irish applicants must read the ‘Guidelines for Irish Applicants’ in conjunction with the Agroecology Call Documentation, including the requirements set out in the National Annex for Ireland.
