Plant Health & Biosecurity Stakeholder Network

Plant Health & Biosecurity Stakeholder Network

Stakeholder engagement is an important element of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine ’s Plant Health and Biosecurity Strategy.

The Plant Health and Biosecurity Stakeholder Network aims to facilitate direct engagement between the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine in its role as National Plant Protection Organisation (NPPO) for Ireland and plant health stakeholders from across Government, State Agencies, industry, academia and relevant interest groups, to help minimise the threat posed to plants by the potential introduction and establishment of plant pests and diseases, and consequently helping to protect our agriculture, horticulture and forestry sectors, and our natural environment.

The first meeting of the Network took place on the 24 March 2025.
