Common Agricultural Policy Beneficiary Data

The EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) was initially established to guarantee secure supplies of food for Europe's citizens. Now it is a broad policy whose primary objectives are market-oriented sustainable food production, supporting the incomes of farmers, preservation of the environment and rural development.

In Ireland, agri-food is our largest indigenous exporting sector and accounts for 6.1% of full-time employment and 8% of exports, at a record €20.8 billion for 2025. The CAP continues to: protect family farm incomes; support the rural economy; ensure the production of high-quality safe food for consumers; and protect rural landscapes and the environment.

Publication of CAP Beneficiaries Data

In accordance with EU Regulations 1306/2013 and 2116/2021, the Department is obliged to ensure annual ex-post publication of all of the beneficiaries of CAP funding, both legal and non-legal persons, which shall remain available for two years from the date of the initial publication.
