How special term poultrymeat should be labelled

Special term poultrymeat may be marketed using the terms ‘Free Range’, ‘Barn Reared’, ’Fed with…(type of feed)...’, ‘Traditional free range’, ‘Free range-Total Freedom’ provided the regulations on these production methods have been met.

Poultrymeat producers using these terms and indications must be registered with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and must comply with relevant legislation.
