This report has been prepared by Dáire Crotty and Ciarán Murphy on behalf of the Department of Children, Disability and Equality. It aims to explore the reasons for the gender pay gap observed among Growing Up in Ireland’s Cohort 98 at age 25. Its findings are particularly timely for the new National Strategy for Women and Girls 2025-2030 as published in late 2025 by this Department.
