The Report of the Review of the Magdalen Restorative Justice Ex-Gratia Scheme by Mary O'Toole, Senior Counsel concerns cases that involved a dispute over length of stay in a Magdalen institution and cases in which applicants lacked capacity to accept an award. The Review was part of the response by the then Government to recommendations made by the Ombudsman in his 2017 report on the administration of the Magdalen Restorative Justice Scheme, Opportunity Lost.
