Principal Officer, Mother and Baby Homes Action Plan Unit

Responsibility at Principal Officer level for management of the overall Government Action Plan which responds to the final report of the Mother and Baby Homes Commission. This includes overall stakeholder engagement, lead management of Oireachtas and co-ordination work, and North / South and international work. She also has responsibility at Principal Officer level for the Mother and Baby Institutions Payment Scheme Act 2023 and associated regulations, the governance relationship with the Special Advocate Office, administrative support for the Payment Appeals area and engagement with the religious congregations. In addition, she has responsibility for action 21 of the Action Plan, as well as lead responsibility for management of litigation relating to Mother and Baby Homes and Illegal Birth Registrations.
