Principal Officer, Operations and Climate Action

Operations & Climate Action has overall responsibility for the functionality, safety and efficiency of the Department's office environment by planning and managing physical workplace services for the Department and its staff.

O&CA manages the Department's accommodation brief, including desk allocations and the provision of office and home workstations. O&CA operates a number of day-to-day functions, including the Department's Travel Desk, Purchase Order (PO) System, general Payment Authorisation Forms (PAF), main switchboard, and responding to facilities and health and safety queries via the Department's Helpdesk. O&CA supports both internal and external stakeholder engagement through the management of internal catering requests, Town Hall Setup Forms and Visitor Request Forms.

As part of its health and safety function, O&CA manages the Department's fire safety and evacuation procedures. O&CA also manages the co-ordination of training for Departmental fire wardens and first aid-responders, as well as increasing staff awareness of health and safety risks.
