Rory O'Leary

Rory O'Leary has responsibility for policy development and implementation of general marine planning including:

• National Marine Planning Framework (NMPF)
• Designated Marine Area Plans (DMAPs)
• Marine Planning Policy Statement (MPPS)
• Supporting guidelines

He oversees a number of stakeholder and co-ordination groups and leads on EU, UK and international engagements in respect of marine spatial planning.

He is also responsible for:

• Delivering the next DMAP for offshore renewable energy
• Publishing Ministerial Guidelines for DMAPs
• Developing education programmes for primary and secondary schools.
