Energy Poverty Action Plan Annual Report 2022-2023

The Energy Poverty Action Plan was published in December 2022. This Plan set out the range of measures implemented across Government during winter 2022/23 to support people with energy costs, as well as the longer-term actions taken to ensure those most at risk of energy poverty can adequately heat and power their homes. The Plan updated the previous Strategy to Combat Energy Poverty. A cross-departmental and inter-agency Steering Group was established to develop, implement, and oversee the policies and measures detailed in the Action Plan.

The Energy Poverty Steering Group is required under the Action Plan to outline progress against the various actions contained in the Plan in an Annual Report, submitted to Government prior to publication. This reporting aims to capture the cross-cutting impact of the support measures and actions introduced by Government and to inform coordinated policy making.

An Annual Report setting out the actions, status and outcomes of the Energy Poverty Action Plan is available below.
