Irish delegation to COP31 Overflow Badge Accreditation Application Form

The Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment (DCEE) will be accepting expressions of interest from 6 July to apply for an overflow delegation badge to attend the Conference of Parties Climate Change Conference (COP31), which will take place from 9 to 20 November 2026.

DCEE will issue a limited number of overflow delegation badges. Applications are due by 11 September 2026.

Attendees would be responsible for all associated travel costs and expenses to attend COP31 if offered an overflow badge. Additionally, those selected to receive a badge would be responsible for securing their own visas if needed (the UNFCCC provides a link post registration), meeting all requirements set by the COP31 organisers and the host country and for submitting any information that organisers request to register recipients such as passport information.

Applicants will be informed of the assignment of badges by the end of September.
