The International and Offshore Energy Section supports the work of the Minister in development of offshore energy policy to 2030, offshore grid policy including electricity interconnection policy. The Section leads the development of the South Coast Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Designated Maritime Area Plan (DMAP) and the broader strategic policy relating to future ORE DMAPs and the State-led regime. The Division is also responsible for governance of EU energy policy, international (non-EU) energy policy and preparation for Ireland's EU Presidency from an energy policy perspective.
