The Future Offshore Energy section supports the work of the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment and government to reach a net-zero energy system by 2050 by ensuring the delivery of Ireland's long-term offshore renewable energy (ORE) targets. The section leads on developing an overarching ORE data policy and governance statement to support decision making and planning, ensuring a supporting planning framework for ORE development, oversight of offshore transmission policy, including electricity connection, and coordinating input to Offshore Clearing House.
