Principal Officer, Wholesale Electricty Markets, Generation and Storage

The Wholesale Electricity Markets, Generation, and Storage Section supports the work of the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment and government in the development of wholesale electricity markets and storage policies to ensure a reliable and robust security of electricity supply and supporting Ireland's target of 80% of electricity demand to be supplied by renewable electricity sources. The section leads on dispatchable electricity generation policy, electricity wholesale market design, including the all-island Single Electricity Market (SEM), electricity security of supply, and electricity storage policy.
