The Assistant Secretary for Communications has responsibility for the Communications area including:

• the National Broadband Plan
• Electronic communications policy and regulation
• the digital connectivity strategy, emergency planning and Postal Policy

The Communications function includes the Digital Connectivity Office and eircodes.
