Recruitment: Services Officer - Furbo, Co Galway

The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media (DTCAGSM) is seeking applications from suitable candidates to fill vacancies that may arise for the position of Services Officer in its offices in Na Forbacha, Co Galway. It is important to note that the working language of this office is Irish and that excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Irish and English are an essential requirement for candidates.

The role of Services Officer in the department will involve the following duties:

• dealing with the public at the reception and on the phone
• liaising with Office of Public Works and/or external contractors regarding the maintenance of the building/office equipment – both inside and outside
• dealing with both internal and external post
• ordering office supplies and keeping the stock of stationary up to date
• processing office utility bills as they mature
• organise meeting room layout, refreshments and IT set up for pre-booked meetings
• maintain log of attendees in building
• raising and lowering flags as appropriate
• any other duties pertaining to the post
