The primary role of Sports Policy and Campus Division is to:
- set policy
- oversee Sport Ireland
- facilitate the use of public funds to promote increased participation in sport and improved levels of performance at competitive/elite levels
- facilitate development of the National Sports Campus at Blanchardstown
- international sport issues at EU level and wider
- North/South engagement on sport
