Time: Official ceremony commences at 2.00PM - guests will be required to be seated by 1.30pm, there will be no access after this time.
A State-led commemorative event organised by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport in partnership with the Office of Public Works, the Department of the Taoiseach, the Defence Forces and Kerry County Council.

Event Overview
This year marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of Daniel O’Connell, one of Ireland’s most significant historical figures. To honour his legacy, a formal State-led commemoration will take place at Derrynane House, O’Connell’s ancestral home in County Kerry. The event will reflect on O’Connell’s lifelong pursuit of justice, equality, and civil rights, and will highlight his enduring impact on Irish society and democratic values.
This event will be filmed and televised.

This is a free, public event. However, advance registration is required due to limited capacity at the venue.
